Memo: | Nye (1975) stated:- Although P. celsia was included in his lists and catalogues of British insects Stephens, 1829, Illust. Br. Ent. (Haustellata) 3: 99 stated '.... as I have never seen an indigenous example in any collection, I presume that it does not inhabit Britain: it is a native of Hungary, Austria, etc.; but it has been found in Sweden.' Celsia Stephens is a junior objective synonym of Staurophora R.L., 1917. See: STAUROPHORA R.L. [Reichenbach], 1817. Poole (1989) included PSYLLA Germar, 1810 (preoccupied); DIACOPE Hübner, 1820; CELSIA Stephens, 1829; CALOTAENIA Stephens, 1830; JASPIDIA Boisduval, 1840 (preoccupied); and CALLITAENIA Agassiz, 1847 as junior synonyms of STAUROPHORA R.L. [Reichenbach], 1817. |
