Rillo_Buckley_size_data.csv
Morphometric data used in the main analysis of the paper (see Table 1 and Fig. 2 in the paper). Each row refers to an individual foraminifer (specimen). Link to the images of each slide can be found in the data resource (csv file) of Rillo 2016 https://doi.org/10.5519/0035055 using the ZF_PF_no number.
Columns
- Lat.decimal: latitude decimal from -90 to +90
- Long.decimal: longitude decimal from -180 to +180
- Ocean: Pacific, Atlantic or Indian
- IRN: NHMUK Internal Record Number of the slide 5 ZF_PF_no.: Slide's registration number (written on each slide for identification); ZooForam (ZF), PalaeoForam (PF).
- Sea_Depth_meters: sea depth of latitude and longitude coordinates
- Vessel: vessel name that collected the sediment
- Collection_date: date the sediment was collected by the vessel (from 1800s and 1900s only; if any 2000s appear it is an Excel error)
- species & title_abbrev : species name
- total_ind: number of individuals measured in each sample, so it repeats itself for each specimen (row)
- ind_diam: maximum test/shell diameter of the specimen in microns (unidimensional)
- ind_area: cross-sectional area of the test/shell of the specimen in microns (two-dimensional)
- ind_area_log: natural logarithm of “ind_area” for analyses
- forcens_lat: latitude decimal from nearest neighbouring site of ForCenS relative abundance database
- forcens_long: longitude decimal from nearest neighbouring site of the ForCenS relative abundance database
- rel_abund_nearest: relative abundance of species retrieved from the nearest neighbouring site of the ForCenS database www.doi.org/10.1038/sdata.2017.109
- rel_abund_median_300km: median relative abundance of species retrieved from all the neighbouring sites of the ForCenS database within 300km from the morphometric site/sample.
- num_neighb_300km: number of neighbouring sites of the ForCenS database within 300km from the morphometric site/sample.
- tmn_0m: mean annual sea surface temperature retrieved from the nearest neighbouring site of the WOA database https://www.nodc.noaa.gov/OC5/woa13/
- pp_value: mean value of net primary productivity retrieved from the nearest neighbouring site of the Ocean Productivity database http://sites.science.oregonstate.edu/ocean.productivity
