Rillo_bias_size_data.csv
Bias analysis: individual shell area measurements of planktonic foraminifera specimens used to assess the biases in the Buckley Collection (Fig. 3 in the paper). Each row represents an individual (specimen). The column “dataset” refers to where the specimen came from: either the slides from the Buckley Collection (“Buckley”) or the slides picked, identified and mounted by Rillo et al. (“Resampling”). The “Resampling” specimens are the ones counted in table Rillo_bias_foram_counts.csv. The “Buckley” specimens appear again in Rillo_Buckley_size_data.csv. The column “OBD_Museum_no” is the old museum number for the sediments sampled, relevant to find the bulk sediments in the NHMUK Ocean-Bottom Deposits (OBD) Collection. For more recent sediments' museum number use the number in column OBD_IRN. The column “total_ind” is the number of individuals measured in each sample, so it repeats itself for each specimen (row).
