This list is based mainly on data provided by the late Dr John E. Whittaker from his CV when he kept it up to date during his career at the British Museum (Natural History)/Natural History Museum. Publications post retirement and also since his death have been added to this list and serve to enhance the published and unpublished research collections that he made that are deposited at the Natural History Museum. An almost complete set of these publications is deposited in the Micropalaeontology Library at the Natural History Museum. This list was compiled for a presentation by Giles Miller at a meeting on 22nd April 2025 to celebrate the life and works of Dr John E. Whittaker.
