Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- Epicterodes was originally proposed as a subgenus of Arichanna Moore, 1868. Epicterodes Wehrli 1933 was originally an unavailable name as no type-species was designated; Kocak, 1981, Priamus 1 (3) : 102. Parsons et al. (1999) included EPICTERODES Wehrli, 1933; HEMIPYRRHA Grote, 1896; ICTERODES Butler, 1878; PARICTERODES Warren; PHYLLABRAXAS Leech, 1897; and RHYPARIA Hübner, 1825 as junior synonyms of ARICHANNA Moore, 1868.
Type Comments: Fletcher (1979) cited "CHINA: west, Wa-shan; Ta-tsien-lu" as the type data.
