Memo: Cowan (1970: 64) stated:- Cited in a list of species as "Escalophoides tucumana" in Hesperiidae; apparently a lapsus. Gorgythion tucumana is a taxon near G. beggina a subspecies of which has since been named escalophoides Hayward, 1941 (see Evans, 1953 : 101). A Ghost Name. The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008).
