Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Escandia was established in the Pyralidae Nymphulinae and retained in that subfamily by Klima, 1937, in Bryk, Lepid. Cat. (84): 193; it was included in the Noctuidae Acontiinae by Nye, 1975, Generic Names Moths World 1: 188. Poole (1989) included ESCANDIA in the subfamily ACONTIINAE. Poole (1989) included only 1 species in the genus ESCANDIA.
