Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- The type-species was designated and included by Duponchel as Geometra mensuraria [Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775, Ankündung syst. Werkes Schmett. Wienergegend: 111, an unjustified emendation of Phalaena mensurata Scopoli, 1763, Ent. Carniolica: 225. The identity of Phalaena mensurata Scopoli, 1763, remains undetermined, but the species figured by Duponchel, 1830, ibidem 8 (1): pl.182, fig.2 as mensuraria is clearly P. chenopodiata Linnaeus. Under Article 70(a) of the Code, the case of a misidentified type-species should be referred to the Commission. Parsons et al. (1999) included EUBOLIA Duponcehl, 1829; EUSEBIA Braund, 1846; EUSEBIA Duponchel, 1845; FORBACHIA Albrecht, 1920; LIMONOPHILA Gumppenberg, 1887; ONYCHIA Hübner, 1825; and PHASIANE Duponchel, 1829 as junior synonyms of SCOTOPTERYX Hübner, 1825.
