Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Eucardinia caricae Dyar, 1918, ibidem 6: 138, is stated in a footnote on that page to be the same species as Ulophora caricae Dyar, 1913. However, as the type series of Eucardinia caricae is from Santiago, Cuba and that of Ulophora caricae from Miami, Florida, the two are separate nominal species. Eucardinia caricae Dyar, 1918, is a junior secondary homonym of, and a junior subjective synonym of Ulophora caricae Dyar 1913.
