Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- P. salaminia is dated from the wrapper of the part, and not the title page of the volume, 1779. Leptophara Billberg, 1820, has priority over Eudocima Billberg, 1820; given by Kocak, 1981, Priamus 1 (1) : 21. However, Leptophara has been a junior objective synonym of Eudocima Billberg, 1820, since 1974 - See Eudocima Billberg, 1820. Poole (1989) included EUDOCIMA in the subfamily OPHIDERINAE, treated by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999) as CALPINAE. Poole (1989) included ELYGEA Billberg, 1820; LEPTOPHARA Billberg, 1820; TRISSOPHAES Hübner, 1823; OTHREIS Hübner, 1823; MAENAS Hübner, 1823; RHYTIA Hübner, 1823; ACACALLIS Hübner, 1823; OPHIDERES Boisduval, 1832; ACACALIS Agassiz, 1847; OTHRYIS Agassiz, 1847; KHADIRA Moore, 1881; ADRIS Moore, 1881; VANDANA Moore, 1881; ARGADESA Moore, 1881; HALASTUS Butler, 1892; PURBIA Moore, 1881; and EUMAENAS Hampson, 1924 as junior synonyms of EUDOCIMA Billberg, 1820. Poole (1989) included 36 species in the genus EUDOCIMA.
