Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- The type-species was again published, in the combination Sphinx aper, by Herrich-Schüffer, [1856 September] 1850-1858, Samml. neuer oder aussereur. Schmett. 1 (1): wrapper, pl.83, fig.477. The Walker date is cited from Nye, 1975 1: 6; the Herrich-Schüffer date is cited from Fletcher, 1979, ibidem 3: xiii. Butler, 1876, Trans. zool. Soc. Lond. 9: 513, quoting a letter from the author, stated that Boisduval's work was published on 22.ii.1
