Memo: Cowan (1970: 47) stated:- MacLeay, [1827] to read - MacLeay, 1827 [1826], [type-species year] (see Matthews, 1925, Birds of Austral. (Biblphy) : 72). EUSCHEMON was included within the subfamily HESPERIIDAE: PYRGINAE by Ackery et al., in Kristensen (1999). The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008).
