Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- In the original description Guenée states 'Je ne connais cette Xanthoptére que par un dessin d'Abbot. d'aprés lequel elle différerait de la [X.] semiflava . . .' Abbot's drawing is not known to have been published, but from Guenée description the identity of this species is not in doudt. Poole (1989) included EXYRA in the subfamily ACONTIINAE. However, Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999) included EXYRA in the subfamily PLUSIINAE. Poole (1989) included 4 species in the genus EXYRA.
