Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- See Viette & Fletcher, 1968, Bull. Br. Mus. nat. Hist. (Ent.) 21: 410). Ametropalpis Mabille, 1884 was treated in the Noctuidae, Hypeninae\ Herminiinae in Nye (1975: 37). Ametropalpis was treated as a valid genus and brought out of synonymy referred to the Catocalinae from the Hypeninae within the Noctuidae by Lodl, 1996, Zeitschrift der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Oesterreichischer Entomologen 48 (1-2) : 37. Poole (1989) included EUGORNA Holland, 1894 as a junior synonym of AMETROPALPIS Mabille, 1894. Poole (1989) included 2 species in the genus AMETROPALPIS
