Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- G. heliconiata is a junior subjective synonym of Dioptis hyelosioides Walker, 1862, Trans. ent. Soc. Lond. (3) 1: 70. Gonora was originally proposed in the Dioptidae, but has since been transferred to the Geometridae; I have not found any published reference to the transfer. See also: Phelodes Felder, 1874. Parsons et al. (1999) included PHELODES Felder, 1874 as a junior synonym of GONORA Walker, 1865. Parsons et al. (1999) included 4 species in the genus GONORA. Pitkin (2002) included Hylasia Boisduval, 1870; and Phelodes Felder, 1874 as junior synonyms of Gonora Walker, [1865] 1864.
