| Memo: | Hemming (1967) stated:- An Incorrect Subsequent Spelling of Heteropsis Westwood, [1850]. The text relating to this genus (: 323) was published on the same date as plate 63, and here the spelling Heteropsis was employed. The First Subsequent User was Kirby (1871, Syn. Cat. diurn. Lep. : 96) who used the spelling Heteropsis, and that spelling has been used by every subsequent writer, and is the Correct Original Spelling, the spelling Haeteropsis being an Incorrect Original Spelling and therefore invalid. The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008). |
