Memo: Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- Included by Hübner as `Halisidota Tesselaris Abb.', an incorrect (of a multiple) original spelling of the generic name, and an incorrect subsequent spelling of the specific name, by subsequent designation by Kirby, 1892, Synonymic Cat. Lepid. Heterocera 1: 209, but cited as * Halisidota, an incorrect (of a multiple) original spelling. Halysidota was the spelling adopted by Berg, 1882, An. Soc. cient. argent. 13: 214, as first reviser, from a multiple original spelling which included both Halysidota and * Halisidota. Hübner opened his list of species with the heading `... Halysidota the Latin plural of Halysidota; he then included three species, the first being cited as `Halisidota Tesselaris Abb.'.
