Memo: Poole (1989) included HEMIGROTELLA in the subfamily AMPHIPYRINAE, subsequently restricted to the genus AMPHIPYRA by Kitching & Rawlins(1999) in Kristensen. Other genera formerly treated in the subfamily AMPHIPYRINAE are treated as HADENINAE by Kitching & Rawlins (1999). However the later included HEMIGROTELLA in the subfamily STIRIINAE. Poole (1989) included only 1 species in the genus HEMIGROTELLA.
