| Memo: | Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- Homonymus was established unnecessarily as an objective replacement name for Ankistrophorus Walsingham, 1887. Walsingham considered that Ankistrophorus was a homonym of Ancistrophora Schiner, 1865, - Insecta, Diptera. Homonymus was again proposed as an objective replacement name for Ankistrophorus by Walsingham, 1888, Trans. ent. Soc. Lond. 1887: viii (Errata). According to Robinson (pers. com.) HOMONYMUS Walsingham, 1887 belongs in the ACROLOPHIDAE. |
