Memo: Homophoberia Morrison, 1975 was treated in the Noctuidae, Ophiderinae in Nye, 1975, 1 : 243. Homophoberia was referred from the Ophiderinae to the new subfamily Condicinae within the Noctuidae by Poole, 1995, The moths of America north of Mexico including Greenland. Fascicle 26.1, p.20. Homophoberia has subsequently been referred to the Noctuidae, Tytinae from the Noctuidae, Acontiinae by Speidel, Fanger & Naumann, 1996, Systematic Entomology 21 (3) : 247. Poole (1989) included HOMOPHOBERIA in the subfamily ACONTIINAE. Poole (1989) included NEOERASTRIA McDunnough, 1937 as a junior synonym of HOMOPHOBERIA Morrison, 1875. Poole (1989) included 2 species in the genus HOMOPHOBERIA.
