Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Hosidia was established in the Pyralidae Anerastini, part now Pyralidae Peoriinae part Pyralidae Phycitinae. On the advice of Dr J. Shaffer, Virginia Hosidia is here placed in the Peoriinae. Hosidia and H. ochrineurella were Ragonot manuscript names made nomenclaturally available by Hampson.
