| Memo: | Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- but cited as Automolis lateritia Herrich-Schäffer, [1855], a nominal species not originally included in Anace. Kirby placed lateritia, incorrectly, as the senior synonym of rubra, a nominal species originally included in Anace. Under the Code, Article 69(a)(iv), this designation constitutes the fixation of the originally included nominal species as the type-species. Anace was established in the Arctiidae; it was placed, correctly, in the Thyretidae by Kiriakoff, 1960, in Wytsman, Genera Insect. 214 (E): 47, but used with an incorrect type-species Anace perpusilla Walker, 1856, designated by Hampson, 1898, Cat. Lepid. Phalaenae Br. Mus. 1: 143. |
