Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- A junior objective synonym of Erannis Hübner, [1825]. Hybernia Berthold originated from the vernacular name Hybernie used by Latreille, 1825, Familles natyrelles du Règne Animal: 477. Included by Duponchel as * Hibernia defoliaria Treitschke; * Hibernia is an incorrect subsequent spelling, Treitschke an incorrect authorship. See: ERANNIS Hübner, [1825] 1816. Parsons et al. (1999) included CHIMADIA Speyer, 1839; HYBERNIA Berthold, 1827; LAMPETIA Stephens, 1827; and THRIPTERA Gistl, 1848 as junior synonyms of ERANNIS Hübner, 1825.
