| Memo: | Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- Hypatia was established as the objective replacement name for Hysia Walker, 1854, which was established as a subgenus of Glaucopis Fabricius, 1807, in the `Zygaenides', now Zygaenidae. Hypatia and Hysia were retained in the Zygaenidae by Kirby, 1892, ibidem 1: 147; they were placed in the Syntomidae, now Ctenuchidae, by Hampson, 1898, Cat. Lepid. Phalaenae Br. Mus. 1: 266. The Ctenuchidae were included within the subfamily ARCTIIDAE: ARCTIINAE by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). |
