Memo: Hemming (1967) stated:- In establishing this genus, Riley observed that the interpretation of Lycaena catochloris - which had been based upon a unique specimen - had always been a matter of doubt until in 1925, Collenette had taken a further specimen at Tahiti ; he added that the examination of this second specimen showed that Lycaena catochloris was a distinct species belonging to a hitherto undescribed genus allied to Thysonotis Hübner, [1819]. The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008).
