| Memo: | Fletcher (1979) stated:- Meyrick, 1892, Trans. ent. Soc. Lond. 1892: 117, included only one species, mucidaria Hübner, in Hyposcotis; Prout regarded this use as a restriction and, erroneously, as a type-species designation. Hence Prout's designation of mucidaria is followed by, `[Myer. 1892]'. Parsons et al. (1999) included COSTIGNOPHOS Wehtli, 1951; EUCHROGNOPHOS Wehrli, 1951; HYPOSCOTIS Hübner, 1825; KEMTROGNOPHOS Wehrli, 1951; LYCOGNOPHOS Wehrli, 1951; NEOGNOPHINA Wehrli, 1946; and RHOPALOGNOPHOS Wehrli, 1951 as junior synonyms of CHARISSA Curtis, 1826. |
