Memo: Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- An unjustified emendation of Ypsolopha Latreille, [1796], and a junior homonym of Hypsilophus Wagler, 1830, Natürliches System Amphibien: 147, - Reptilia. The "Index universalis" formed fascicle 12 of the Nomencl. zool.; Hypsilophus is dated from the wrapper of the fascicle, not from its title-page which is dated 1846.
