| Memo: | Nye (1975) stated:- P. melicerta was originally included in Achaea by Hübner, as 'melicerta Cramer', an incorrect authorship. It is a junior subjective synonym of Phalaena janata Linnaeus, 1758, Syst. Nat. (Edn 10) 1: 527. Poole (1989) included GERIA Walker, 1858 as a junior synonym of ACHAEA Hübner, 1823. Poole (1989) included 95 species in the genus ACHAEA. |
