Memo: Imosca is the objective replacement name for the preoccuppied name Allocosmia Sugi in Inoue et al 1982 nec Cossmann 1897 (Mollusca), by Sugi, 1984, Tyo To Ga (Lepidopterological Society of Japan Transactions) 34 (3) : 130. Imosca was treated in the Noctuidae, Amphipyrinae by Sugi, 1984 and has subsequently been referred to the Eustrotiinae (from the Amphipyrinae) within the Noctuidae by Speidel, Fanger & Naumann, 1996, Systematic Entomology 21 (3) : 249.
