Memo: Higgins, 1965, Entomologist 98: 242 considered that L. riparia was established by Boisduval and was later redescribed by Rambur, 1829, Annls Sci. Observ. 2: 261, pl.6, fig.3, as Noctua riparia and attributed to Boisduval. Anapoma is the objective replacement name for the preoccuppied name Apoma Berio, 1980, nec Beck, 1937, (in the Mollusca) by Berio, 1980, Bollettino Della Societa Entomologica Italiana 112 (1-3) : 40. Anapoma Berio, 1980 was downgraded to denote a subgenus of Mythimna Ochsenheimer, 1816 by Yoshimatsu, 1994, Bulletin of the National Institute of Agro-Environmental Sciences 11 : 298.
