| Memo: | Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- I. quadristrigata is a junior subjective synonym of Turuenna dirphoides Walker, 1865, the type-species of Turuenna Walker, 1865. Felder, 1874, in his script legends to his plates, did not distinguish between the capital letters I and J; the spelling Isoctenia has been adopted by authors. Isoctenia when established was not placed in a family; it was placed in the Lasiocampidae by Kirby, 1892, Synonymic Cat. Lepid. Heterocera 1: 834; and placed in the Lymantriidae by Bork, 1934, in Strand, Lepid. Cat. 62: 323 See also: Turuenna Walker, 1865. | |
