Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- Culot attributed this generic name to Oberthür, but no earlier published reference has been found. Neave, Nomencl. Zool. 2: 813, dated Jugurthia from the title-page of the volume and not from the wrappers of the parts which were published later. See: MOUREIA Orfila & Rossi, 1956. Poole (1989) included JUGURTHIA Culot, 1912; and MEROLEUCA Hampson, 1908 as junior synonyms of VICTRIX Staudinger, 1878.
