Memo: Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- Kawiella was established in the Notodontidae; it was transferred to the Lymantriidae by Kiriakoff, 1968, in Wytsman, Genera Insect. 217 (C): 2. Examination of the holotype of Kawiella testacea has shown it to be a junior subjective synonym of Sybrida ragonotalis Snellen, 1892, Tijdschr. Ent. 35: 153 in the Pyralidae, Pyralinae. Kawiella is here transferred to the Pyralidae. Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Kawiella was established in the Notodontidae; it was transferred to the Lymantriidae by Kiriakoff, 1968, in Wytsman, Genera Insect. 217 (C): 2; and was transferred to the Pyralidae Pyralinae by Watson, Fletcher & Nye, 1980, in Nye, Generic Names Moths World 2: 97.
