| Memo: | Nye (1975) stated:- TYPE-LOCALITY stated to be Surinam, but this was probably an error as the species illustrated is not known to occur in the New World but is widespread in the ETHIOPIAN and ORIENTAL REGIONS. Poole (1989) included LACERA in the subfamily OPHIDERINAE, treated as CALPINAE by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). Poole (1989) included 11 species in the genus LACERA. | |
