| Memo: | Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- When establishing this nominal genus, Hampson based his description on the type-specimens of Diospage scintillans Butler, 1893, which he incorrectly placed in synonymy under Diospage triplex Plötz, 1880, without examining the type of the latter species. Gaede, 1926, in Seitz, Gross-Schmett. Erde 14: 26, treated scintillans Butler as a separate species, retaining it in Lamprochrysa, and on page 33 placed triplex Plötz in Syringura Holland, 1893. See Frontispiece, fig.11, Diospage scintillans Butler, female. Under Article 70(a) of the Code, the case of a misidentified type-species should be referred to the Commission. |
