Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- A junior homonym and a junior objective synonym of Larentia Treitschke, 1825. Included by Stephens as cervinaria [Denis & Schiffermüller], an incorrect authorship; cervinaria is an unjustified emendation by Treitschke, 1825, in Ochsenheimer, Schmett. Eur. 5 (2): 440, of Geometra cervinata [Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775, itself an unjustified emendation and a misidentification of Phalaena cervinalis Scopoli, 1763. The first available name for the misidentified species is Geometra clavaria Haworth, 1809. Larentia was again proposed by Stephens, 1829 [July], Syst. Cat. Br. Insects (2): 129. See: LARENTIA Treitschke, 1825 [October 18]. Parsons et al. (1999) included CYMAZONITA Sodoffsky, 1837; LARENTIA Stephens, 1829; and PLEROCYMIA Hübner, 1825 {December 31] as jnuior synonyms of LARENTIA Treitschke, 1825 [October 18].
