| Memo: | Nye (1975) stated:- Leptophara was partially described and therefore nomenclaturally available, but had no, originally included species. No differential diagnosis between Leptophara and Eudocima was given so in order to place Leptophara I here included P. salaminia Cramer. Leptophara is a junior objective synonym of Eudocima Billberg, 1820. Eudocima Billberg, 1820, has been suppressed to conserve the name Leptophara Billberg, 1820 given by Kocak, 1981, Priamus 1 (1) : 21. The decision above has priority. See: EUDOCIMA Billberg, 1820. Poole (1989) included ELYGEA Billberg, 1820; LEPTOPHARA Billberg, 1820; TRISSOPHAES Hübner, 1823; OTHREIS Hübner, 1823; MAENAS Hübner, 1823; RHYTIA Hübner, 1823; ACACALLIS Hübner, 1823; OPHIDERES Boisduval, 1832; ACACALIS Agassiz, 1847; OTHRYIS Agassiz, 1847; KHADIRA Moore, 1881; ADRIS Moore, 1881; VANDANA Moore, 1881; ARGADESA Moore, 1881; HALASTUS Butler, 1892; PURBIA Moore, 1881; and EUMAENAS Hampson, 1924 as junior synonyms of EUDOCIMA Billberg, 1820. |
