Poole (1989) included LEPTOSTOLA Billberg, 1820; DEMAS Stephens, 1829; PHINECA Walker, 1856; and COLOCASIODES Matsumura, 1931 as junior synonyms of COLOCASIA Ochsenheimer, 1816.
