Leucocastnia was established as a subgenus of Castnia Fabricius, 1807; it was raised to generic level by Oiticica, 1955, ibidem 3: 153. Leucocastnia Houlbert, 1918 was treated as a junior synonym of Telchin Hübner, 1825, by Lamas, 1995, Revista Peruana De Entomologia 37, 1995 : 86. |
