| Memo: | Hemming (1967) stated:- Wallengren introduced the name Leucochitonea as new both in his paper of 1857 and in that of 1858. In the first of these papers, he included in this genus Leucochitonea levubu (then a new species) and one other species ; he did not designate a type-species ; in 1858 however he designated Leucochitonea levubu. Butler, overlooking this type-selection, himself selected this species to be type-species in 1870 (Ent. mon. Mag. 7 : 94). The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008). |
