Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- Lewinibombyx was established in the Lymantriidae and was also placed in that family by Kiriakoff, 1970, in Wytsman, Genera Insect. 219 (E): 1. Forbes, 1955, Tijdschr. Ent. 98: 85-132, in a review of the Eupterotidae, placed Lewinibombyx as a junior subjective synonym of Panacela Walker, 1865, in the Eupterotidae, Panacelinae. The date of publication of the part of Seitz containing page 381 is stated on page 377 to be iii.1929 in the English edition; no date is given in the German edition, but the copy in the BMNH is date-stamped 20.iii.1929.
