Memo: Cowan (1970: 11) stated:- Gray described the type-species and figured it, adding; "This South American insect belongs to Mr. Swainson's subgenus [of Pieris] Lieinix." No earlier publication of this name can be found. It is a senior objective synonym of Acmepteron Godman & Salvin,1889. The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008).
