| Memo: | Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- Latreille, 1810, listed three nominal species but of these only quadra was an originally included name. Acceptance of such type designations by Latreille was approved by the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature, 1939, Opin. Decl. int. Commn zool. Nomencl. 2 (Opinion 136): 15. Billberg, 1820 is the correct auhorship for Lithosiinae and not Stephens 1829; given by Kocak, 1983, Priamus 2 (4) : 158. Lithosia Fabricius, 1798 is the objective synonym of Lithosis Billberg, 1820, (an unjustified emendation); given by Kocak, 1983, Priamus 2 (4) : 158. |
