Memo: Hemming (1967) stated:- The taxon represented by the nominal species Pamphila philander Hopffer is currently treated subjectively on taxonomic grounds as a subspecies of the taxon represented by the nominal species Hesperia caesar Fabricius, 1793 (Ent. syst. 3 (1) : 340). The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008).
