| Memo: | Nye (1975) stated:- A junior homonym of Luceria Walker, 1859 [December 10th], -Lepid., Noctuidae. The objective replacement name is Calamia Hübner, [1821]. Zuchold, [1860], Bibl. Hist. nat. 9 160, listed Heinemann's work as being published between July and December 1859. In the absence of other evidence and under the Code, Article 21(b) the date of publication is to be taken as the last day of the year. Luceria Heinemann is, in any case, a junior objective synonym and so will never be required for use; it is therefore reasonable to continue to use Luceria Walker as an available name. See: CALAMIA Hübner, [1821] 1816. Poole (1989) included LUCERIA Heinemann, 1859; and LEDERERIA (as LEDERARIA) Grote, 1874 as junior synonyms of CALAMIA Hübner, 1821. |
