| Memo: | Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- A junior homonym of Macronyx Swainson, 1827, Zool. J. 3: 344, - Aves. There is no objective replacement name but the type-species of Macronyx is currently considered to be congeneric with the type-species of Teracotona Butler, 1878. M. debilis is a junior subjective synonym of Virbia submacula Walker, 1854, List Specimens lepid. Insects Colln Br. Mus. 2: 472. See also: Microgiton Felder, 1874. |
