Memo: Poole (1989) included MELIPOTIS in the subfamily OPHIDERINAE, treated as CALPINAE by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). Poole (1989) included CORONTA Walker, 1858; GERESPA Walker, 1858; JARASANA Moore, 1882; and LYNCESTIS Walker, 1857 as junior synonyms of MELIPOTIS Hübner, 1818. Poole (1989) included 53 species in the genus MELIPOTIS.
