Memo: Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- A junior homonym of Mesodonta Baly, 1865, Entomologist's mon. Mag. 2: 99, Insecta, Coleoptera. There is no objective replacement name, but N. monetaria is congeneric with Bombyx serrata Thunberg, 1792, the type-species of Peridea Stephens, 1828; the latter is thus available for use as a subjective replacement name. Mesodonta was again proposed by Matsumura, 1921, Thousand Insects Japan (Additam.) 4: 790.
