Memo: Metachandidae Meyrick, 1911 was downgraded to Metachandini in the Gelechiinae, (Gelechiidae), by Zimmerman 1978, Microlepidoptera. Part 2. Gelechioidea, Insects of Hawaii 9 : 1796. Metachanda was treated in the Metachandidae by Nye & Fletcher, 1991, 6 : 188. Metachanda has subsequently been designated as the type-genus for the new tribe Metachandini (Oecophoridae), by Leraut, 1992, Entomologica Gallica 3 (3) : 137.
