Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- When Kirby designated as type-species Gynautocera adalifa Doubleday, 1847, Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (1) 19: 76, a nominal species not originally included in Milleria, he also placed virginalis, a nominal species originally included in Milleria, as a junior subjective synonym of adalifa. Under the Code, Article 69(a)(iv), this designation constitutes the fixation of the originally included nominal species as the type-species. M. virginalis is a junior subjective synonym of Gynautocera adalifa Doubleday, 1847. Milleria Herrich-Schäffer, [1853], is not a junior homonym of * Milleria Goldfuss, 1830, in Hartmann. Syst. Uebers. Verst. Würt.: 45, - Echinoderma, a nomen nudum. * Milleria Hering, 1922, Arch. Naturgesch. 88 (A) 11: 11 (key), 66, was cited by Neave, 1940, Nomencl. zool. 3: 175, as a nominal genus, but it was only a usage of Herrich-Schäffer's name.
